PART 1 – Research and Development  

• Interviews and story circles with Finnish American communities - Ongoing
• Construction of puppets (in the likeness of my ancestors) inspired by traditional Finnish pauper statue designs - Ongoing
• Play development in Finland.  Trip will include story circles in Kauhajärvi  + design meetings with Antti Ojala in Helsinki - Fall 2014

• Writing process begins - January 2015
• Informal reading of first draft of the play & puppetry demonstration in Fairport Harbor, OH - April 2015 

• Final script development with dramaturg and ensemble of American and Finnish-American actors and puppeteers - Spring 2015

PART 2 –  U.S. Premiere: Fairport Harbor, Ohio

• Community Auditions - August 22 - 25 2015 
• Production Residency - September 12 - 30,  2015
• Performances - October 1 - 4, 2015
• Preliminary Exhibition (Photos & Prints) - September & October, 2015 

PART 3 - Finland Premiere: Lapua, Finland

• Community Auditions - May or June 2016

PART 4 - Follow-Up, Documentaries & Exhibition

• Follow up visit to Fairport Harbor
• Screenings of documentaries
• Full Exhibition in U.S. (vaivaisukot, paintings, prints, photos, etc) - 2017 to coincide with 100th Birthday of Finland
